Prowords is an exciting and challenging game, and can be learned in
only a few minutes.
OBJECT
------
The object of Prowords is to create three different three letter
words or abbreviations with random letters generated by the ProWords
Door. You score points for each correct word. Note that Prowords
actually searches for all three letter words that can be found in the
prowords dictionary. So words like ABC will not be accepted, On the
other hand if you create a word that is valid and is not contained in
the dictionary be sure to inform your sysop so that he may add it to his
list of correct words or abbreviations.
Game Play
---------
When you begin, Prowords will place a random generated letter on the
screen. (If you have problems recognizing the letters you may review
them with the command D for Display) You must then select which block
you want the letter placed. You are given three blocks to create your
words. You will be given a choice of 21 random letters of which you
may discard 12 letters.
To put a letter in a particular block just select the number you wish
to place it in. If the letter "A" comes up and you want it in block 1
you would select the number "1", letter "A" would then show up in the
first block. (The letters may not be rearranged). If you do not like a
letter you may discard it. You may do this for 12 letters.
Once you have completed filling all three blocks with words (Hopefully!)
ProWords will check your work and then will assign you the appropriate
point level for all correct words.
Keys when playing are as follows -
1) Place letter in block 1
2) Place letter in block 2
3) Place letter in block 3
D) Place letter in Discard Block
L) List the letters and point values
R) Refresh the screen (If you have line noise)
(This game makes an excellent teaching tool for children to. Look for
the standalone version on your bbs soon)
